Principle     Interface     ONEPAT Mode

LINKMODE Interface

1: EMR Software - Call and Output: The EMR Software starts the PeriData app (shellexecute) with the parameter /MODE:ONEPAT and other parameters containing the current patient data (name, birthdate, ID). One of the parameters carries the path of the individual database file of this patient. Specification of the interface:  ONEPAT Link Mode

2: PeriData - Input: (automatically) PeriData starts, opens the individual database file and shows immediately the stored examinations

Configuration

A Configuration is not needed. The behaviour is controlled by the commandline parameters.

A: PeriData - Database: (stores automatically) Each patient has his own small database which is opened at startup.

Details

If the file does not yet exist (first exam), it will be created. Some information about the database file structure

3: PeriData - Output: (automatically) Each time when a new examination has arrived from the perimeter and is stored in the database, PeriData transmits general information about examination method, time and eye to the EMR software

Message File

The transmission uses a text file with the file extension *.MES. These files are stored in the database directory.

4: EMR Software - Input: The EMR Software reads the message file, generates a new line in the patient record and deletes the file.

Alignment of the correct patient: The EMR software sends the filename associated with the current patient. For safety reasons, the patient name is stored to each examination in the database. PeriData will check the name when the database file is opened. Another check is done when new examination data is received and imported.

Details

In addition, the date of birth is compared. - A change in case of typing errors or a name change, e.g. with marriage is possible, with confirmation check. The question will not turn up again.

If the wrong patient was opened and new data arrives, and PeriData finds the mistake, the data will be stored to a "Reserve" database. Later they can be moved to the correct patient.
