Takeover of old data from a PERIMETER

The Takeover of old data from another EMR software see here

Handling without EMR Software (1 large database)

Configurate PeriData to be ready to receive data from the old Perimeter. The configuration for the new perimeter should be maintained simultaneously.

Create a new Database. Save the database with a meaningful name ("OLDDATA.PHF","OldHFA1.PHF"..) in a folder on thesame PC (network is too slow for this procedure).

Send the data from the perimeter with the typical method (->details). Send as much data as possible. The perimeter software may limit it. Some perimeters allow to send all data of the entire hard disk in one action. Other perimeters can only send the data of one patients, requiring repeated sending procedures.

If you start newly with Peridata, you declare the database to be your new office perimetric database (you may give it another name). In other cases, transfer the examinations into your existing office perimetric database (copy and paste, the number of the examinations in the clipboard is limited).

Note: Do not forget the data backup (copies).
The database size is limited to 64.000 examinations (PHF filesize=82 MB).
Large data amount may cause a data "congestion".

Handling with link to an EMR software

In case of a link to a medical record software, there is a special PeriData file for each patient. The import of old data is a little bit more complicated, but will provide you with a comfortable data access out of your medical record software. There are several options:

Option 1

This option is suitable if the perimeter (software) does NOT send all data in a single action AND the old perimeter will be available for a longer time.

Configurate PeriData to be ready to receive data from the old Perimeter. The configuration for the new perimeter should be maintained simultaneously.

Each time when a patient shows up for perimetry, the data are sent from the old perimeter.

Option 2

This option is suitable if the perimeter sends all data in one action OR the perimeter will NOT be available for a longer time.

Step 1 (Data transmission into a large file, needs to be done only once):

Open the PeriData app NOT from the EMR software, but directly from the desktop (PeriData-Icon) or the Windows start menu.

Create a new database and continue like"Handling without EMR Software" (see above)

After finishing the transmission, the data are permanently available in the OLDDATA.phf database. The old perimeter is not needed any more.

Step 2 (transport of data to a particular patient)

1. Each time when a patient shows up for perimetry, you start PeriData from the EMR system. The particular perimetric database of the active patient shows up. This may be empty.

2. Open the database file OLDDATA.PHF (Menu File > Open). Now there are 2 open database windows.

3. Search the current patient in OLDDATA using “Search patient„.

4. Mark all the examinations of the patient (CTRL + “T„)

5. Copy the examinations (CTRL + “C„ or Copy button) to the clipboard.

6. Switch the database: Click into the patient's database window (<Number>.PHF). This window is activated.

7. Paste the examinations from the clipboard (CTRL + V or button Paste).
