The Receiver Agent has its own window. It displays the active device interfaces. If the PeriData main program is not running and examinations are waiting to be imported, the “Receiver Agent” window moves on top and reminds you to start the main program. A list shows waiting examinations along with the patient name. This helps you to select the correct patient in your medical record software.
The Receiver Agent is used only on the Receiver PC (in the perimeter room). There you open the menu Extra > item Options and activate the check box "Receiver Agent" on the Perimeter page. On this page, you should also set the automatic startup with the main program. The program (rxagent.exe) can also be started with Windows Autostart. The Receiver Agent runs independently and is NOT closed when the main program is closed. This ensures that it is always ready to receive data.
If data transmission and import into the database are running on two different PCs (e.g., logical separation in the Terminal Server RDP window and on the local PC), the "Receiver Mode" was previously used. This function has changed. Details are given on the page Terminal Server Configuration im the CASE 3.
The Receiver Agent does not have its own Options menu; instead, it inherits the settings from the main program. This applies to device interfaces and language. If you want to change interfaces, you must exit the Receiver Agent before making the changes in the main program.
